How easy is it to use?Very, very easy. The one thing we don't want to happen is for you to get on the phone asking us all sorts of questions. Isle has strived long and hard to ensure that everything contained in the Confero pack is simple to use. Okay, so we could have added features here and there, but those would have only made the whole package a touch more technical. From experience, there is nothing worse than opening some brand new software and not even knowing where to start. A basic knowledge of computers, word processing and email should be enough to get you through the process. How cost effective is Confero? In one word - 'VERY'! If a company were sending out a printed newsletter once a month, the paper, envelopes, postage and time involved would soon add up (do the maths for yourself). According to our calculations, Confero would not only have paid for itself well before 1250 newsletters had been sent out but it’s far more effective! How long does the order process take?Once we’ve received confirmation of your order, Isle will customize your chosen template to include your company colours and your logos. You should receive your e-Newsletter template within 14 days of our receipt of payment. Am I spamming if I send the newsletter out?Spamming is a much used term. None of us like getting unsolicited emails that promise baldness cures, solutions to our debt problems, penis enlargements or Viagra pills, but a company e-Newsletter is a totally different thing. To cut a long story short, if you include an unsubscribe link on your newsletter and do actually take recipients from your database should they want you to, you will not be considered a spammer. What format does my database have to be in?The mail merge software prefers you email databse to be in CSV format. This can be found in most drop down menus on the 'Save As' item of a spreadsheet. A name field and the email field (columns if you like) will suffice. Does the recipient see loads of 'cc' names? No, the software is designed to grab one name and email address from your database, merge that with your newsletter and send it before starting the process again with the next recipient. That being said, it will still send 10,000 emails an hour. Do I Have to use the software provided? No, but remember the software provided has been fully tested and, as such, suits the purpose perfectly. If, during our continual search for improvement, a better piece of software becomes available, you will be informed. What do I do if I am having a software problem?Consult both our help files and those associated with your software. If your problem isn’t covered, give us a call on the number provided with your CD. How do I get my newsletter from the Isle server to my computer ?The easiest method is to browse through to your newsletter using your web browser. Use the File+Save As at the top left and save the document as html to your desktop or C: drive. I still have a problemEmail or phone 01302 325555 |
